Up, Up, and Away

CBS, the mainstream network, aired on 60 minutes, their network program, that NASA has successfully designed a flying machine that hovers, soars, stops, and flies well above sea level. Its called the AirScooter. The inventor Woody Norris was credited top prize for his invention as the Lemelson-MIT award for his life’s achievement as a half million dollar gift. It will be released later on this year. It’s controlled by a computer operating system that allows millions of people to fly whenever they please in their very own vehicle.

The evolution in technology is revolutionizing society as we speak! With the development of these computer operating systems and the AirScooters driving on land will quickly become obsolete. This transforms the normal highway on the road to the new “highway in the sky”. I have always opened the doors on cars and imagined they could fly, and now its roughly at my fingertips.

The title of this class is Information:DigitalAge, and this article satisfies the name of this course explicitly. The content of this article is record-breaking news. This is much sought after “information” that people would like to know about, especially since these will be released towards the end of the year. An important topic such as this one could only be found through this new wave of shared information as WEB 2.0. Through social blog postings and social bookmarking sites such as Delicious, I may have never heard the inside-scoop, and if I did, I guarantee it would have been much later than when I did discover.
